Amy always loved to cook since she was a little girl. She and her family moved from Lodi, in North Jersey to Manahawkin. Finding it necessary to have all of her Italian specialties, she found herself making frequent trips up north. Because there was no place to get all the Italian specialties she wanted, she and her family decided to open a place of their own. It was always Amy’s dream to have her own place. When the doors opened on June fourth, 2005, it was strictly deli and sandwiches. As they started adding to the menu dinners, and appetizers were than available. More and more customers kept telling them that they should make pizza. So in January 2007 they were now known as LaGuardia’s Italian Deli & Pizzeria. Over the past two years the business has been a wonderful success, and The LaGuardias are looking forward to many more years of serving great customers.
